CAN Applied to Radio Remote Control
Tarso’s CAN receiver is designed to integrate directly into the machine’s CAN bus, operating as another node within the network. This architecture reduces wiring, simplifies installation, and allows the machine logic to reside in the customer’s PLC or ECU, while the Tarso receiver acts as an intelligent interface between the operator and the control system.
Tarso’s CAN module can provide control and status data over a shared CAN bus, instead of relying exclusively on point-to-point wired relay outputs. This enables a single two-wire bus to distribute commands, statuses, and alarms.
Mobile Connectivity
Commands sent from the Tarso mobile app are also transmitted over the CAN network, just like those from the physical remote.

Custom CAN System
Tarso’s CAN connectivity can be adapted to manufacturer-specific proprietary protocols as well as widely used industry standards such as CANopen or J1939. When a manufacturer uses its own CAN protocol, Tarso can adjust the data mapping and message format to match the specification, respecting the logic already implemented in existing ECUs.
In addition to CAN communication, Tarso receivers include configurable relay outputs that allow independent digital signal generation. These outputs can be used as an additional safety layer (e.g., stop relays) or as auxiliary contacts.
